Memoirist and podcast pro, Sarah Hepola, helps me launch my own podcast, where I hope to have lots of wide-ranging convos with smart people about nature, adventure, culture, politics, etc.
Sarah was the personal essays editor at Salon, she’s a staff writer at the Dallas Morning News, and she hosts, with Nancy Rommelman, the “Smoke Em if You Got Em” Podcast, which is one of the best.
We talk about….
Her hit book Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget.
My theory on the Concentric Circles of Life.
Guilty Pleasures. Mine: old Howard Stern shows. (Not the X-rated kind.)
Sarah’s:
Mine and Sarah’s?:
What I’m watching — The Witch (2015), The Sixth Sense (1999), and The Blair Witch Project.
What Sarah’s watching — Boogie Nights (1997)
Music by Duncan Barrett, who you can follow and listen to, here and here.
